  • A five-year-old bot that's still getting questions and delivering instant answers.

Celebrating five years of giving Insurance Agents what they need

This month we celebrate the fifth birthday of Mae, the Oak Street Health (OSH) Agent Bot.

OSH is a network of primary care centers that specializes in helping older adults stay healthy and live life more fully. Mae was "born" in 2017 to respond to Insurance Agent questions about OSH and give them quick access to OSH benefits to share with their clients, all through text. More than five years and thousands of conversations later, Mae is still hard at work responding instantly, and looking better than ever.

Mae was named after Dr. Mae Jemison, an engineer, physician, and NASA's first African-American female astronaut. Happy Birthday Mae!

How Sigma Alpha Iota made their election more accessible

Are your events accessible?

This summer, we worked with Sigma Alpha Iota to bring a chatbot named "Rose" and COVID protocols (vaccine/negative test upload + health screening) to their National Convention.

An election was part of the agenda. One of their members, who is blind, thought she'd need assistance to vote. Instead, the ballot was delivered as a text message through the chatbot, which worked seamlessly with her screen reader. The member voted without anyone's help, and she was so pleased that she contacted fraternity leadership to let them know how thankful she was.
